Urbino® Pistol Grip Stock for Beretta 1301 & A300 (12-GA)
Mesa Tactical offers a shortened length of pull stock, known as the “Urbino” stock, for Benelli, Mossberg, an Remington and Beretta 1301 semi-automatic shotguns and A300. The Urbino stock kit is very popular in our law enforcement market due to the shorter length of pull, allowing the user to wear body armor or bulky clothing without extending their reach.
The reduced length-of-pull (LoP) makes the Urbino the first truly tactical stock for the Beretta 1301 tactical shotgun and just released A300. The Urbino Tactical stock, is a fixed-length pistol grip shotgun stock made from injection-molded glass-filled nylon. Nice stock
This works perfectly on the 1301 and only takes about 5 minutes to install with a Phillips screwdriver and 13mm socket.

Urbino stock
I bought this stock for my Beretta 1301, because I put a gg&g shell carrier, and as I am left handed, the shell carrier was chewing up my hand. I looked for a high quality pistol grip stock, to change my hand position. Not only did this work perfectly to change hand position, the quality of this stock is first rate. I got the cheek riser also, and wow- what an improvement for a natural point with my red dot sight. Can’t speak highly enough about this stock, and it’s a win for lefties, like myself.

Top shelf product!
Nothing to complain about. Fit and finish are top shelf and it seems a little bit more robust the original stock. In a word; excellent!

Great Aftermarket Upgrade
I purchased the Urbino stock as an aftermarket upgrade to my 1301 after being dissatisfied with the stock the firearm came with by default. I will not go into much detail but it was uncomfortable to shoot with, and it not the most ergonomic stock. I’ve only shot my 1301 with the Urbino attached once. But it made shooting slugs much more enjoyable with the limbsaver. I like the ergonomics of the pistol grip. Attaching the stock was straight forward and can be done with only a Phillips head screwdriver and a 1/2” socket. Even then the screwdriver was only necessary to remove the butt plate on the default stock. So for the Urbino all you need is a 1/2” socket. The only negative experience I’ve had is after putting 15 or so slugs through the shotgun the stock came loose and it had to be retighten once back at home. I imagine that was more on me for not tightening the stick to the shotgun with enough force. But, I want to mention it may come loose if you do not tighten the nut more than you think may be necessary. In general the stick is a great aftermarket purchase for my 1301. I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from a default stock to something comfortable and ergonomic.

Urbino pistol grip stock.
I have one of these on my Beretta 1301. I love it! I ordered one for my Benelli M4. On that one I went without the cheek riser. I never use the riser on my 1301 so why bother? It’s also a 922 compliant part. Most stocks are too long , but this hits the sweet spot. Perfect if you wear armor or have to wear a thick coat. It’s also very easy to install. I only wish it came standard with qd mounts.
